Jordan Phosphate Mines Company profits stand at JD93 million

The Jordan Phosphate Mines Company, JPMC posted JD93 million in profit in 2009, compared with JD238 million in 2008, official data showed.
The preliminary figures, published on Amman Stock Exchange ASE website, indicated that the company's net revenues last year stood at JD458 million down from JD847 million in 2008.
Phosphate and Potash prices significantly dropped last year due to the global economic meltdown.
Jordan Phosphate Mines Company's capital stands at JD75 million.
